My nickname has a mundane origin, it was my login on the UW Comp Sci machines when I took a class in Lisp and AI. My friend Karen started referring to me as 'whump' in mailing comments to the local Fan group's APA.

Hum... blogging a thing, where thing is [photo, book, etc.] takes one step too many. If I create a thing, it would be nice to have a control on the editor pane that says, "make this a blog posting as well."

Now it's not immediately obvious how to blog a thing, and when the thing appears in your blog, its attributes aren't surfaced. You have to click into it to see ratings, caption, and tags.

Snickerdoodles. I use the Martha Stewart recipie with shortening and butter. I make several batches every Christmas to send to my family and friends.
